Multi Angles Gloss Meter 20°, 60° and 85° read in a single pass
A handheld instrument that reports all three standard gloss geometries at once, in gloss units. One placement on the surface tells you how a finish behaves at a grazing angle, at the reference angle and at a steep one, which is the difference between a coating that looks even and one that does not.
These are the values on the display of the unit we hold, taken from one sample. They show what the instrument reports, not what it is specified to do. Ranges and tolerances are in the datasheet.
The gloss level decides which geometry to read.
60° is the reference geometry for most finishes. On a very glossy surface that reading compresses towards the top of the scale and stops separating good from excellent, so high gloss is judged at 20°. On a matte surface the opposite happens and 85° does the work. Reading all three together means the operator never has to decide in advance which geometry the material calls for, and a disagreement between two angles is itself a finding.

Buying the instrument is the short part.
An instrument only earns its place when someone can show where its numbers came from. That is the work we stay for.
